CreditCheckTotal and Equifax

Hey guys,

I am sorry if this is in the wrong section but I have an issue and I am wondering if anyone else has this issue.

All 3 of my reports (Transunion, Equifax, and Experian) are the same....I have double and tripple checked but for some reason my Equifax score is much lower than Transunion and Experian.

My Transunion and Experian scores are both the same at 606 but my Equifax is showing as 581 which doesn't make sense to me because they all are the same o.O So I am wondering if anyone else has score discrepancies on CreditCheckTotal with Equifax and the others.

Thank you for the help

Re: CreditCheckTotal and Equifax

I know that you've mentioned triple checking your reports, but by any chance are the amount of inquiries the same across the three CRAs?

Not a terribly unusual situation. Quite common, in fact. Are you carrying any balances on your current revolving accounts? EQ seems to be much more UTI sensitive than the other bureaus for some odd reason.

Re: CreditCheckTotal and Equifax

Hey guys!! Thank you for the responses. Below is a picture of what my summary looks like:

As you can see my UTIL is kind of high but same accross the board and I have a lot of inquiries with Equifax but no where as much as Experian....AND I have less collection accounts and accounts ever late on Equifax So this is confusing o.O

Re: CreditCheckTotal and Equifax

Number of accounts late and INQs are different.

Likely suspect for different scores.

Re: CreditCheckTotal and Equifax

It's weird how your total debt is listed as over a thousand bucks less on EQ. You might want to check account details between the reports. There was a point at which I had identical listings in terms of what showed up in the summary on my reports, but some accounts were reporting longer good payment history than others. For me it was Equifax that was way higher, it had about 3 extra years of good payment history on an account that the same account didn't list on the other report it was listed on.

You might also want to look at the "Factors" tab with "compare all" selected to see if there are some differences in the factors offered between the report, as that might point you to what's going on.

Re: CreditCheckTotal and Equifax

I can't figure these scores out either,  For two months my exp and eq were higher than my tu,  Now eq is lowest and ex is highest.  What the other poster said about eq and util could be a difference though.  Just keep doing what the great minds on here suggest and ask for help when needed and you'll be over 700 before you know it.

You'll give yourself a headache trying to figure out the CRA's.  I know. I've done it. LOL

Re: CreditCheckTotal and Equifax

My tu is highest at 675 on cct. 704 on ck. Ex factor on cct says no revolving activity but tu and eq have the same au and secured reporting without that negative factor. I think the bureaus all look at stuff differently. Like maybe ex ignored my secured card because it reported with a $0 balance and they only saw the au account maybe? $70 balance of $2700.

All ive seen for sure from the CRAs is that ck reports way more liberally than fico haha.

Re: CreditCheckTotal and Equifax

Its all in the algorithms.  Different CRA=different algorithm.  Even one small difference here and there can be enough to cause a 20 point difference.  EQ may be reporting certain information more recently than the other bureaus also. Just a thought.
