Interesting, I dont understand why someone would tell others not to WORRY about credit inquiries when building credit. For me that would be the worst advice!! Although I am rebuilding my credit, I intend to take out a mortage in about a year and a half, tops. These inquiries certainly do affect your score and I wish I had known the effects of inquiries before I went on my first app spree and opened 15 new accounts!! I have already closed two store cards since and am in the garden.

Because someone should absolutely not be afraid of applying for new credit when rebuilding.  Makes complete sense.  Inqs should NOT be looked at, at all when rebuilding.

Hey guys thank you for the responses and insight. For some reason my Equifax report is all messed up but only on Credit Check Total. It is fine everywhere else....Like my judgement it is showing a date of 01/01/2000 when it should be 2010 and I noticed on a few of the payment historys it shows payment history as far back as 2002 when the card was opened last year o.O...This is why I asked if anyone else had this problem. For now I think I am going to let my report sit and not touch it or apply for at least a year...So far in 2 years I have gone from a 480 to 606 which has been a long proccess and a lot of letters. Thank you guys for the help
