I called and was told the dollar would be refunded, and that they are being blocked by EX from showing an online report because my identity can't be verified.  I've had no fraud alerts from any company I deal with and none of my personal information has changed, I've lived in the same house for 10 years with the same phone numbers as well. Something shady is going on. I realize these credit bureau's are some of the worst run companies in existence, but this seems like more than just a clerical error.

Firstly, pending authorization could be part of the verification process / payment flow. It is for many other sites. $1 is most common, though I've run across one site (CardCash, which buys and sells gift cards) that will do a 1 cent authorization in some instances - had never seen that before nor since.

Have you opened any disputes in the recent past?  It's also possible one or more creditors have reported incorrect information. Maybe your street address on file was changed and/or new one added?

A simplier explaination is you failed to answer one or more of the verification questions correctly. Not sure that's it though, since Experian verification questions are generally reasonable. In contrast, Equifax seemingly goes out of its way to make verification more difficult than it needs to be - often 3, or even all 4, of the answers will be None. Try using a different computer and/or web browser. All three bureaus have an alternative process for requesting reports.

To echo other comments, CCT is the real deal. Report data and FICO 8 scores are spot on. No triggers to wait for. Updates are available promptly (EX daily; TU and EQ 3X per month) regardless of changes. CCT is worth the effort to get working, because it's among the best deals going for 3 bureau reports with real FICO scores.

Quoted for truth; when you sign up or change payment information, a $1.00 test charge will be used by Stripe and other merchant processing providers in my experience to verify the new payment method.

The $1.00 charge will be backed out automagically before it clears Pending status, then the real charge for the service will be pushed through.  If that full monty charge was applied and you didn't get the service, then there's a legit beef; however, from the information given this wasn't the case, rather this is just how transactions in the electronic age work.

Ok so when signing up for the $1.00 7 day trial if you already have an account with experian then you have to log in through the experian website and then look for this trial offer? This is what it says before you agree to trial. I just want to make sure i am on the right site. Thanks

Re: CreditCheckTotal

Canceled myfico this week, got CCT.

Called them up today my last day of trial offer. Explained to rep it was simply too expensive.

She said 50% like you guys said she would.

Couldnt be more happier.

Im probably done with myfico products till they innovate!

Exp is my lowest credit score so having it be a daily pull is godly i can see exactly how im progressing. 3 reports a month is far more godly as i continue my road to 800.

Re: CreditCheckTotal

I checked my scores when I did my annual free credit report about two weeks ago. My scores were experian 495 equifax 465. I just signed up for credit check total and my scores are experian 588 equifax 577. Which scores do credit card companies use when I apply? Why is there such a big difference?

Depends what score you purchased as I believe both EX and EQ peddle educational scores in addition to their FICO products.

EQ's FICO score is explicitly a FICO 04 model, and that won't match what you get here or at CCT.  If you purchased a FICO at Experian though, it should match CCT's score identically.  Either something changed on your report substantially, or more likely you picked up the non-FICO score and now getting legit ones.

Most major CC issues underwrite on a FICO 8, or sometimes a FICO 8 Bankcard industry option... CCT is as good as anything else out there specifically for credit card underwriting... exception if you go full monty on the MF 1B/3B pull where you get the Bankcard and the older scores too, but monitoring wise, CCT = MF at a cheaper price point imo.  Maybe even better dependant on your need since you get the frequent pulls, and EX has the worst coverage on the free report services.

I called this morning to cancel in order to get the $14.97/month pricing. When inquiring on the 3 pulls/month for EQ and TU, the CSR informed me that starting July 5th it will be DAILY score updates for TU, EQ, and EX and not just EX like previously done. I asked was she certain, and she offered to let me speak to her her manager to confirm. So looks like previous poster was correct making this a phenomenal deal!

A few people have posted something similar to the above.  Is there anyone that can confirm they are getting all 3 daily, as July 5th has come and gone.  I still have 16 days before I can 3B pull again.
