My Fico Score for Equifax is 653 at CCT... but I'm concerned with why its different than what I see reflected on the Equifax.com credit monitoring.. Because with Equifax.com it tells me that I have a 602... Now I'm certainly not complaining about the better number here.. I just want to make sure which number is correct as I'm keeping track of my EQ due to my accounts I have with NFCU and from what I know they use EQ exclusively....
Thanks
Hey,
Equifax.com Credit monitoring provides you EQ04 FICO score (also called Beacon 5.0 ) , which is commonly used for mortgage applications .
CreditCheckTotal provides you FICO 8 scores for all three bureuas (Transunion , Equifax and Experian) . It is same as the score you obtain from myFICO for all three credit bureaus . FICO8 scores are commonly used for credit card lending .
Hence the scores that you see in CCT is different from Equifax.com , as they are different credit score models .

Aahhhh I see..
So if NFCU pulls my EQ cr they will be having the Fico 8 score ??
Thanks so much
If NFCU generally pulls EQ04 model , then they should see 602 (score seen on equifax.com)
If they pull EQ08 model , they should see 653 (score seen on CCT) .... It will highly depend on which of these two credit scores they are pulling .
Believe it or not I'm pretty sure the EQ web site is a fako! CCT is correct of that I'm sure.
Ohh ok.. I will be researching which one they pull.. Thanks for all the feedback and explanations
Have a wonderful day.
I was curious if there were any score differences with CCT and Myfico. So, I had them overlapping last week so I could compare.
Result - Same Fico 8 scores on both.
With the $14.98 deal for 5 years deal, I simply couldn't pass up.
Glad I'm not the only one! I love the Forums, so so so helpful, but MyFico hasn't seem to be updating at all. I seemed to get more updates with Score Watch before it upgraded me.

Nicelle,
I signed up for CCT last week. I made a post about MYFICO not updating my scores in a timely fashion for me and someone mentioned CCT. I'm getting my scores updated more frequently now versus MYFICO.

Straight from the Equifax page:
"Equifax® 3-Bureau credit scores are based on an Equifax Credit Score model and are not the same scores used by 3rd parties to assess your creditworthiness"
Just another FAKO - not worth paying money for, IMO
