Signed up, checked scores (711 TU / 693 EX / 675 EQ) and promptly called to cancel. They have an option to cancel through the automated system or through a rep; I chose rep. She offered the $14.97 for one year when I stated my reason for cancellation was that the price was too high.
Anyone ever try the automated system? I wonder if it would offer a retention counteroffer as well.

I think most people choose a live rep to get the retention deal. Not sure automated even offers it. Congrats on the awesome $14.97 deal....it's untouchable.
I called up to cancel and went with the automated system. I answered all the questions and then it wanted to send me to a customer rep. Is that normal? Does the rep give the deal. Or is this different from the 5 years half off deal? I hung up when the rep came on as wasnt sure if that was how to get the 5 years off.
Woo hoo, woo hoo! Signed up today, pulled scores, promptly called in to cancel membership. Used the automated process and received 1/2 off for 5 years! Yes, 5 years!
The first time it sounded like I was being transferred to a rep so I hung up and called back again. This time it rolled right over to the automated line. I can stomach 1/2 off, the full price was just too much for me. Feels good to have it locked in for 5 years!
Soooo, I figured out why my TU is so much lower - they have reported as 7 negative items but negative items on ex is 3 and eq is 4. Does anyone know why that might be?
Just called after hours and they said they are closed. If I want to cancel to email my information. Didn't offer me to do it through an automated service. When I called during business hours I went through the automated service and then they wanted to transfer me to a rep. Could the fact that I have a Fraud Alert on my CR's be the reason?
