Ok well I just tried to get the 5yrs for 50% off and I know when I followed the prompts and tried to cancel my membership it stated 5yrs for 50% off then I was transferred to a live person who informed me that it is NOT for a 5yr period but only for 1yr so those of you who were told 5yrs, I would call back and find out for sure. This person told me they never offered it for 5yrs so I don't know what there doing.

What options did you press to get only automated commands ? I followed the prompts and then was transferred.

Obviously, a misinformed Rep. I was most definitely offered 5 years and if they try to raise it after a year I will call with a friendly reminder of the offer. I'd be really surprised if they wouldn't honor the 5 year discounts.

Verbally I was told 5 years at $14.97. If they would tell me after a year that deal is off, I will say thank you because that price for a year was a steal anyway.

I'm sure they will honor the five year deals, but even if they did not, I'm not concerned at all. I believe that there are so many monitoring and score options out there that in a year or two the landscape of this industry will be very different. The increased competition is very healthy and to our benefit. Perhaps I am wrong, but I suspect in a year or two we will have more choices, at more attractive prices and hopefully more scoring models available to us!

SO here's an update on what they told me when I called a 2nd time, I got 1yr at $14.95 when I 1st joined myfico so because I already have the $14.95 price for 1 yr I am not eligible to get the 5yrs at $14.95. So i guess if i was to cancel and wait and call back a few days later I may be able to get the new 5yr deal but otherwise I only get the 1yr. So anyone who previously has a $14.95 deal for 1yr or 2yrs they will not change it to the 5yr deal. Just what I was told yesterday.
