Re: CreditCheckTotal

CreditLuv,

I've had it for a while now and it is $7 for me for daily Experian pulls and FICOs. Also it has a really convenient app that CCT doesn't. I would say that it's more common for it to be $9 a month and then I guess getting the monthly pull for the extra $5-$6 bucks is still a deal but at some point I think you have to look outside of saving a few bucks and make a stand on principle. We all agreed to 1-5 year contracts with this company. To change a major part of the product, while legal, is really slimy. I would rather run it somewhere else if I can get it cheaper.

Re: CreditCheckTotal

If it were not for the fact that I am rebuilding I wouldn't pull scores so often. Right now, every bit counts and I'm in the habit of staying on top of every little thing.

Since I live in Minnesota, I can pull reports directly for $3 per report (Max charge) but it doesn't include the score. I don't know that there are a lot of options out there. I haven't decided to cancel yet but I'm glad I'm at $15 per month.

More than enough credit.

Re: CreditCheckTotal

It is not clear at all from these bozos if DAILY Experian pulls is staying or not.

"you can access your updated Three Bureau Credit Report with FICO® Scores, powered by Experian®, Equifax® and TransUnion® to once per month. This change will go into effect on 10/9/2015."  To me, ALL daily pulls are gone with this statement. But this statement in the email says, "Experian Credit Report: Daily access to your Experian Credit Report & FICO Score. That sounds to me in that sentence like they're (for the moment) keeping daily Experian pulls.

My suggestion for everyone is to call and email CCT tomorrow and Monday and complain about this big time. All EXISTING members should be able to keep the 3x-month for EQ and TU.

CreditCheckTotal 1x per month on 3 report

Just got email from CreditCheckTotal saying that the 3 bureau credit report will only be available once per month!

I'm kinda sad!

@CreditHawk

If it's only $7-$9 per month for daily Experian FICO 08 scores I'll be joining you over there if CCT cancels all daily pulls or switches to Vantage Scores in the future.

The 3 Bureau report is now monthly. But the single bureau (Experian) is still daily.

From the email:

Remember, your CreditCheck® Total membership includes all of these features:

  • FICO Score: Monthly access to your FICO Score from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion
  • Experian Credit Report: Daily access to your Experian Credit Report & FICO Score
  • Credit & Fraud Alerts: 24/7 monitoring of your Experian, Equifax and TransUnion Credit Reports
  • CardSafe™: When you lose your wallet, you're one call away from help
  • ChildSecure®: Get notified about suspicious updates to your children's Credit Reports

Yep, the posted a screen shot of only the first part of the eMail.

Re: CreditCheckTotal

CreditLuv, I absolutely agree! I will be calling ASAP. I know it's natural for people to get upset and after a few days have lethargy about it but we really should try to stick together on this one and complain! I think we might be surprisingly successful.

Cancelled.  So, what alternative(s) are there? Myfico for $30 a month? How many triple pulls do you get per month with that?

Zero. You get a full update of reports once a year.

Re: CreditCheckTotal

I don't think it was any accident that Experian picked rather late on a Friday night to send out an e-mail with such negative information....
Year 2012: All Scores in the 520 range, during a foreclosure, CC Settlement and high UTIL. Very ugly days...
Sept 2024: EX8: 847; EQ8: 850; TU8: 848 -- Middle Mortgage Score: 821
In My Wallet: Discover $73.7K; Cap1 Venture $51.7K; Amex ED $38K; Amex Optima $2.5K; Amex Delta Gold $18K; Citi Costco $24.5K; Cap1 Plat $8.4K; Barclay $7K; Chase Amazon $6K; BoA Plat $21.6K; Citi TY Pref $22K; US Bank $4K; Dell $5K; Care Credit $6.5K. Total Revolving CL: $300K+
My UTIL: Less than 1% - Only allow about $20 a month to report, on one account. .
