A company can't go from'easily the best' to not knowing what their doing. The two just don't make sense. Go ahead and name two clearly better options.
More like, they were far and away the best, STILL are the best, just not by 20 miles anymore.

It's not that we were too late. CCT only started offering FICO 8 scores a few months ago. That's why so much talk about CCT on here and elsewhere recently. I signed up for CCT only a few weeks, if even that long, after their switch from Plus to FICO 8. It's been a nice run, and for now, CCT still does most of what I need at far less cost than the various alternatives.

Personally, while I found the 3X month 3B pulls helpful, once per month will work, especially as I've moved along in the rebuilding process. Experian and its score still updates daily on CCT, and often is good enough. Combine CCT with weekly CreditKarma TU / EQ pulls (ignoring Vantage 3 scores; often way off, and not widely used) and one has it covered. Heck, even with CCT 3X 3B pulls, I find myself still using CK as much as ever - and, except for the scoring part, has been spot on every time.

As for Experian Direct emails - not sure what to make of that. Probably a glitch / money saving measure, but something to keep an eye on. For now, CCT still looks and functions the same. Hopefully, it stays that way. Otherwise, it's back to Experian Credit Tracker or some other service entirely...

If MyFICO could get their rate down to around $19.95 for monthly 3B full reports and daily monitoring, they'd have something good. For now, despite the CCT changes, Experian Credit Tracker and CCT are still among the best values out there.

ronpa, my scores are nothing like yours and I don't know your situation, but I've found that the simulator that you get access to here on myFICO is an excellent way to improve my credit.  I purchase one Bureau report thrn use the simulator by adjusting scenarios. Does CCT have something similar?

Original Mortgage maturity Sept 2044; Refi maturity Dec 2030
Starting Score: EX 751 EQ 720 TU 737 on 4/9/14
Current Score: EX 849 EQ 835 TU 843

Thank you.  Maybe I'll give them a shot or buy a report from both, use both simulators and see which is more accurate. I don't need to apply for anything until Costco gives up AmEx.

I've given up on the simulators, personally. They're toys and haven't been accurate for me at all. They predicted decreases or no movement if I opened new accounts, but in fact, I got nice bumps after a few months. Bumps much larger than any scenario I tried in the simulator. Had I based my credit rebuild around what the simulator predicted, I would be at least 30 points lower across the board. That's my experience anyway.

Re: CreditCheckTotal

If they're giving 850 scores out I'll take one. Smiley Very Happy

I pulled Experian score today and I didn't have a 850. Smiley Sad

Re: CreditCheckTotal

EDIT:

I had a huge score jump at CCT today and I thought it was a problem with the "upgraded" service.

I did a 1B pull from MyFICO to find out what's going on.

It appears Experian has decided to delete my tax liens... I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Re: CreditCheckTotal

I just checked creditchecktotal. Before it was showing up as "Fico Score" now it says "Plus Score" I don't know if this is a glitch. This only happens when I click to view my 3B scores, on the main page it does still show up as Fico 8 score.

Re: CreditCheckTotal

CCT/Credit Check Total just went from bad to worse.

They're no more FICO 08 scores it looks like, they went to Plus Scores now. **bleep**!

Everyone on planet earth needs to cancel today from these bait and switch pieces of sh$t!

Where Plus Score is now used be FICO Score.

Re: CreditCheckTotal

Get on www.twitter.com/Experian and let the true scumbag (Experian is the owner) of CCT/Credit Check Total know how bad they've mistreated people.
