Spent another day today begging to get some lates removed with little to no avail. One place tells me that they have never heard of doing that, and the other tells me that I can try, and she will see what she can do, but she knows that nothing will be done.

Now let's think about all this.

Why in the hell do these people care like they do? Are we REALLY asking for THAT much? I just want a few lates removed that are over two years old, but they ACT like you are wanting an arm, leg and maybe even a vulva.

Is there some law that says you can't remove a late? Why is this such a huge issue for them?

If you break the speed limit, you get a ticket. Breaking the speed limit could kill someone. However, if you get a ticket you can go to traffic school, so as to give you a new start. Why don't we have a credit school? Why can't we have a one night program giving us a second chance?

You break some other law, and if you aren't some lunatic, then you can get community service. You get a second chance. You can learn from your mistake.

The punishment for having late fees is just incredible. You get your score beaten up, which could cost you a potential job, higher insurance rates, denial for cell phones, and one top of that, you get to deal with creditors that make loan sharks look like choir boys.

Being late on your bills...is it really that much of a crime? Who did any of us really hurt? No one but ourselves. I just can't understand why you don't get a second chance in this game.

I would put this in the off topic section

but well

I uhhhhh

couldn't find one.

Just blows me away that these financial people get so defensive when you ask for a couple of lates to be removed.
