DIsputing an Item - what should i keep in mind

I am about to dispute some 60/90 day late payments for a loan i paid off. The delinquencies occured in Sep 2007 and I want to dispute it. Is it too late to dispute?

If I dispute, will I get an answer within 30 days?

Should I be aware of any other issues?

Don't dispute. Send a GW instead.

Disputing could lead to some unintended consequences.

It's never too late to dispute something on your CRs since EVERYTHING on your CRs is disputable and must be reported accurately and completely, always.

Unless you're using a FACTA copy of your CRs, they must act within 30 days, under law. But whether they will is another question.

If the lates are accurate, and if everything else is reported accurately, it's unlikely their records are faulty--particularly since it's fairly recent.

GW is probably a better approach with lates.
