DV letters to NCO...and a question about re-aging

I have a couple of "paid" collections for $265 from NCO that I've been able to determine are from a hospital visit back in 2003. These are dated 2005 though. First, Is this "re aging" ? Also, it is reported differently on the three different CR's. Does this matter, and will it help me get it off my CRs? Since this was such a small amount, I called the 1800 number at NCO but was transferred around twice, and the last person told me "I was not in their system" and couldn't help me. What do I about this? I was thinking about emailing mike.barrist@ncogroup, unless someone has a better recommendation. Thanks for your help!!!!!

Simply dispute each of the TLs with each CRA that is reporting them. It is possible that NCO is on your report but they farmed out the collection activity to another JDB. If you dispute and they have no info on you they will not respond and the TLs will simply drop off.

As Bam says...dispute with all CRAs  as inaccurate......It doesn't make any difference when you paid, the DOFD does not change. If the CA changed the date they are in violation. Your report may read  date filed 7/07...this is not reaging.  reaging is when they report DOFD 7/07  OR anytime after orig. OC DOFD

Most hospitals keep you account records & only turn it over for collections. They usually do not sell it to CA.  You can make arrangment with hospital.  IF you do wait a few weeks & DV the CA CMRRR
