DV returned as undeliverable

So, I sent out a DV to the CA CMRRR and it's been returned as undeliverable. From what I've read here, I think I should send this to the CRA's and tell them to delete the collection account from my credit report. Has anyone had any success doing this?

Re: DV returned as undeliverable

From what I remember reading on here a while back, that sounds like the right plan of action, but I personally haven't had experience with it.  I wish you luck though! Smiley Happy

Re: DV returned as undeliverable

I am in the same boat as you, I am going to send the CRA's copies of everything in hopes of them removing it as well, But I am still wondering HOW they validated my dispute with a CA that shows an undeliverable addy.

It can't hurt anything, so I am going for it.

Re: DV returned as undeliverable

send to the CRAs......a copy of the DV letter that you send along with the  Paper that has the CERT # on it.....and the green card (GG)     this shows that it couldn't be delivered by the PO!!!!!

All goes to CRAs   CMRRR

Dear CRA,
I recently attempted to contact a collection agency XXXXXX on my credit report #XXXXXXXX at the address listed on the credit report. The letter I sent via USPS CMRRR has been returned to me undeliverable because the company “forwarding address expired, return to sender”. The CA doesn’t exist in that address mentioned in my Credit report. I have included a copy of both sides of the envelope for your review.
As you are well aware, under 15 U.S.C. § 1681i of the FCRA, as well as numerous other places, you are required by federal law to report only accurate information. You have violated my civil rights by repeatedly reporting inaccurate information when I request my credit report, and when lenders view my report. This is a violation of federal law that I have a right to seek remedy for from the courts as it has caused me damage in how I am viewed by lenders, and terms of loans received.
I demand that within five days of receipt of this letter that the negative trade line associated with this complaint be deleted from my file, as required by the FCRA. If this demand is not met, I will be filing grievances with the Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commission.
I have included copies of my identifying information to prove my identity. I look forward to an expedient conclusion to this issue.
Sincerely

Re: DV returned as undeliverable

HA HA I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, I will be using this VERY SOON!

I have a ? though,

Arrow sent me a settlement letter today 26th (LOL yesterday now) from a different addy, and the denied deliveries were reported by the PO yesterday the 25th from 2 different addys. 1 was San Diego Ca, and the other was Niles, IL. the settlement letter is from Chicago, IL. I got the 2 wrong addy's from my credit report.

Should I even bother to work with the settlement or just go to the CRA with the undeliverable info and try to be done with it.

I have to admit if Arrow did validate I was planning to offer a 10% PFD the one I got today was for 15% and only a "update".

Re: DV returned as undeliverable

everything on you CR MUST be  100% accurate    that means addy also!!!  They might start reporting again with the correct addy   but ya never know.  At least it will give the CA something to do instead of calling someone else & bugging them.
