DV's 31 days old...

Ok, So I've sent 3 DV's and all were signed for on 3/17....31 days in March....31 days old...woohoo....

So I think normal timeframe for sending out a second letter and letters to the CRA's is about 35 days....allowing mail time for return mail.  Is this correct?

Also I'm not surprised on 2 of them, they show as paid but I think the DOFD was more than 7 years ago.

Last one is LDC for some reaaaaaaly old parking tickets ($117).  I made the mistake of calling them when some unknown collection showed up on my reports and the electronic dispute had come back verified and provided me with their phone number.  I called, asked for information and they told me what it was but "didn't know how old it was" and told me the only place I could find out was to go back to the state of MN and have them give me the info....since I have no account #'s to take to the state I asked for mailed info...they said they would and would send the letters to my address I gave them... they thought sending notices to my address I haven't lived at in 10 years was acceptable....the information never came and then I came to MyFico....sent off a dispute and they still have not replied.

I am starting to get excited that they just won't bother.

If they do and it isn't 7+ years out I'll PFD them.

Some say yes, some say no. I waited at least 35 days.

Do you have an old report where OC was reporting that you can look at? If not, try calling the OC and asking. If you are certain it is past CRTP then dispute with CRA. If they are showing the correct DOFD and the CRA just hasn't removed yet, then dispute as "obsolete". If they are showing the incorrect DOFD, dispute based on "FCRA Compliance Date"

Call the county/city/state jurisdiction that issued the parking tickets. I am sure you don't need an account number. Sent a dispute to the CA or with the CRA?

Re: DV's 31 days old...

the OC's are soo old and I didn't start pulling reports until 2 years ago.  I'll wait a couple more days and then send the second letters out.  Not certain that's why I DV'd  the dispute was to the CRA.  I am just waiting on that DV too...

Re: DV's 31 days old...

Also, with the parking tickets....there were others that were dismissed by the judge so I have no idea which ones are which...or if the ones they are attempting to collect on are dismissed...there in lies the need for the DV and if they won't send info I will dispute.
