I have an old paid charge off with Dell.  Balance was 1489 settled for 1000.  Anybody have any luck with GW with them?  This is the only charge off on my account - and I really would like to have it removed, I just have not finding out anybody to send a GW to....

IMO- you are going to have a tough time getting them to remove the C/O without paying the remaing portion-

I spoke to someone in the recovery department this morning.

Credit report showing:

Current status - Bad debt/collection

Description - >settlement accepted on this account

                      > paid charge off

They are sending me out a letter today stating that the account was settled in FULL.   Advised me to forward a copy of this to the credit bureau  -- 

Will this help me any?  Will this change my credit file?

I am about to GW two DFS accounts that were charged off and settled back in 2005 and 2006.

Any advice?

I am spamming them with letters and no response!
