Did Experian change your drop off date for inquiries?

(updated: I called and they removed all of Oct and Nov inquiries.)

Will I have to wait until second saturday in Dec. now instead of Nov. which was when the removal date was Oct. 5th?

I think you're still good for this Saturday, EX just makes up removal dates anyway.

@M_Smart007  you're killn meSmiley LOL

@ccquest   I'm curious if anyone else has had their dates changed after having the removal dates shown for two years and then changed after the date has come and gone.

I've never read any reports here at myFico that Exp changes removal dates already listed on credit report.

Re: Did Experian change your drop off date for inquiries?

I just checked my Experian and all of mine are showing the full 25th month date. It matches what they say in some literature on their site which says it takes 25 months to remove and seems like a lazy way of programming this to "match" what they do since they definitely do NOT remove at 24 months. And it's probably slightly more complicated to display it as the 13th day of the 17th month under the 3rd blue moon in the 6th season of the 4th year (ie first Saturday of the 25th month). Now instead of us saying "they lied and it's not been removed yet", we'll be saying "oh man they're so nice, they took it off 3 weeks early!"

Call them and ask What The Fico is going on,  last months bulk purge was on the 3nd and if they hold to their usual scheduling this months should be on the 7th.

Hopefully the second Saturday of the following month hasn't changed.  I am just curious as to why Experian changed my credit report?  Wondering if anyone else has ever noticed Experian changing the removal date(s) from the "Original" removal date(s)?

Should actually be the first Saturday of the 25th month - always has been for me. My report is also showing the 25 month timeframe like yours. My closest inquiry to drop will be Amex though - it was pulled 11/15/2018 so it'll be on file until next month. I'll try to remember when it drops off next month and let you know.

Re: Did Experian change your drop off date for inquiries?

@coldfusion   Okay, I called.  Glad I did because they removed all of Oct and Nov from my cr.  Also, they changed my original dates to the new dates because they are starting to let consumers know that it's 25 and not 24 months until removal (like you all have stated many times over) to help clear up the confusion.  They get a lot of calls wondering why the day comes and goes and the inquiries are still there.

I'm not the only one that has 24 months listed (not the 25) so that's why I saw the change this morning.

Anyway, thanks for the nudge.

The difference was that mine always showed the 24th month....until this morning.  That's why I asked here.

Thanks!  I'm just happy to see them gone! Happy DanceSmiley Wink
