Re: Did Experian change your drop off date for inquiries?

@coldfusion   Okay, I called.  Glad I did because they removed all of Oct and Nov from my cr.  Also, they changed my original dates to the new dates because they are starting to let consumers know that it's 25 and not 24 months until removal (like you all have stated many times over) to help clear up the confusion.  They get a lot of calls wondering why the day comes and goes and the inquiries are still there.

I'm not the only one that has 24 months listed (not the 25) so that's why I saw the change this morning.

Anyway, thanks for the nudge.

You're welcome.

In a number of ways they are the most organized of the 3 major CRAs so like in your particular case if all ducks are not lining up it's worth giving them a call.   As you discovered firsthand (and which I also learned emperically a number of years ago) they are in fact in some use cases empowered to discreetly apply a reasonable fix to an obvious problem especially if you aren't being a jerk about it.

Should actually be the first Saturday of the 25th month - always has been for me. My report is also showing the 25 month timeframe like yours. My closest inquiry to drop will be Amex though - it was pulled 11/15/2018 so it'll be on file until next month. I'll try to remember when it drops off next month and let you know.

The difference was that mine always showed the 24th month....until this morning.  That's why I asked here.

Thanks!  I'm just happy to see them gone! Happy DanceSmiley Wink

I am glad to see they are finally making that change!

The EX app has always showed 24m to the day while the EX CR from ACR shows the 25th month.

About time because that was confusing!

Will I have to wait until second saturday in Dec. now instead of Nov. which was when the removal date was Oct. 5th?

Old Report

New Report today showing the new removal dates

New dates for Inquiries to drop off on Exp except they are still there today.png

Thought I would check mines and sure enough the date was changed to the 25th month. I have one last inquiry on Ex which showed drop off date of Nov. 14th now it shows Dec. 14th.

Ex usually counts the new month on the 1st so I figured it would drop off the first Sat which would have been Dec 5th.

Now I'm not sure when it will drop off.

She made it sound like the actual drop off date did not change, just how they are showing it now for consumers.  Some consumers had the 24th month and some the 25th month listed. They're just kind of cleaning up the reports a little but nothing in the background has changed from what I understand.

If yours doesn't drop by the 1st Saturday of the 25th month give them a call.  They're very accommodating and like @coldfusion  stated in above post,  they can and will fix things at their discretion, as long as it's reasonable and legal that is.  That's why Nov inquiries were able to be removed as well...within that month's timeframe even though Exp. has a schedule it wasn't an uncommon request granted.

Give them a call if yours stick like a fried egg after the 1st Sat. of the 25th month. GL and let us know cause now I'm curious too about your dates.  GL!

Re: Did Experian change your drop off date for inquiries?

Yep. I noticed that yesterday. About a week ago, I posted about a HP that was on my report after the removal date and then felt stupid yesterday when I went to reply and noticed that the removal dates that are now on my reports are different and would have meant that the date that I questioned hadn't even come around when I originally posted about it. LOL. Then, I realized that they must have changed it. Went to my saved reports and confirmed...

Before the change, my HP added on 10/18/18 was set to be removed 10/18/20. Under the new format, the removal date would be 11/18/20. It was removed on 11/08, though.

Good to know. Seems to be the regular drop off date that usually occurs (even though the 8th was Sunday after 1st Sat). That means mines should fall off on Nov 5th as originally thought.

No biggie though not looking for any points or anything,  just looking forward to seeing ZERO inquiries on EX report.

Re: Did Experian change your drop off date for inquiries?

I think you meant December 5th there.

It should be processed on December 5th and you'd see it gone on the 6th.

Ok. That explains why I didn't see it on Saturday when I refreshed my report between 2 am and 4 am. I assumed that it would be removed automatically at 2 am when new reports are available. But, it was gone from my report by the next day, Sunday.
