I received about 6 notices that I had an AU change. None said there was a name change, but they show "JPMC" now....
So, this morning I'm checking my reports, and Im scrolling down and come across an account that says, "JPMCB". Nothing clicked with me right away, and I kinda panicked a tad, as Im very OCD with checking over my reports frequently with a fine tooth comb. I'm like, who is this, and I didn't apply for anything!
Panick was diverted after scrolling down and actually looking at the account info, and realized it was not a new account and it was my Chase Amazon Visa cc. Literally last month it reported on my reports as "Chase Card". Now It says "JPMCB".
Wanted to let folks know so they weren't surprised like I was. Maybe you already know this info, but I didn't
My somewhat recently acquired Freedom Unltd. showed up on CK for the first time the other day as JPMCB--CARD SERVICE with a $600 balance....had to look at the credit limit before I was able to determine WTH it was!
Good info! Mine still says Chase Card, now I can skip the hyper ventilation phase since I know about the change.
One has to wonder why? Is it because Chase has been set free by the Federal Agencies to expand their banking or is there something else? Have to believe there is something? As an aside, they announced several new states for branches that JPM Chase has no banking presence (mine is a state where Chase is setting up banking with branches - summer 2019).

Lol. Because it got too out of control.
Yeah. Might be exclusive to all of the V3 model reporters. I heard not too long ago that they are attempting to remove "Chase" from all of the cards and only have the octagon logo. Perhaps some branding updates or sumptin 🤷🏽♂️
The big 3 still just show CHASE CARD for me.

In addition to the reason for this thread ... I noticed your report also includes "Flexible Spending" and I used to see that every where on my credit reports. Once the requirement for allowing over the limit abilities was removed by both Visa and Mastercard along with not requiring $5K for premium CLs back to August 2015 ... it seemed to go slowly by the way side. For me, USAA and FNBO come to mind as dropouts. Interesting!
Credit Karma has the new tag on both EQ / TU, checked TU directly too it does match. I didn't think much of it when I saw it but admittedly I knew what JPMCB stood for as I see that all over my Chase documentation, apparently was in my 5/23 pull on CK so it happened several days ago if not longer.
Experian still has Chase Card as of today's pull.
TU also still has this closed account listed under the old nomenclature:
CHASE MORTGAGE

I think they only renamed the credit cards. Mortgage unit was not effected. People did report that closed credit cards were updated.
Revelate that explains my pull today from Experian that said "Chase Card". Assumed the rest of the bureaus to be the same and likely I was wrong. Glad you gave the big picture so when alerts pop up I will know what is going on.
