yeah it sounds like it posts before statement cuts, I thought for sure before it was when your statement cuts. Its kind of annoying because my walmart and discover give me fico scores the same week wish i could change the date for my fico scores so they are split up throughout the month, but doesn't look like its possible.
Can't you change the due date on Discover? That wouldalso move the date the FICO score is pulled, wouldn't it?
I was able to change my due date and thus according to discover should change when i get my fico score. Hope it all works out
Off the topic but...im really curious.
Which FICO score does the Discover include for free?

Which FICO score does the Discover include for free?
FICO 8 Risk Score: the artist formerly known as Classic. Un-enhanced, no industry option.

How does it compare to the myfico score? I thought myfico was the closest to the real thing. The more I learn....the less I know
Thanks Rev

The Transunion score at myFICO is '98: two generations behind Discover/Walmart/Barclays at this point. According to FICO they're in talks with Transunion about getting this updated... though what I really, really, really would like is if they got a TU '04 score. That's something I'd actually pay for access to, TU '08 I already get, and TU '98 I sort of view as the least useful of the scores here as an end consumer and personally I haven't pulled it in over a year.
For what it's worth, if you're talking a credit card application, I think the '08 scores are far more useful; if you're talking mortgage, I suspect a '98 score would be closer to the TU '04 score they do use than not for the majority of people.

I just got my new Discover IT in the mail. The packet had my FICO score 713 and its source was listed as Equifax. I am thouroughly confused even more. Myfico has my equifax as 670 never more than 683. I also know for certain they pulled equifax because EQ is the only one that registered the hit (for now)
Whats confusing is the fact that the website reports the monthly FICO comes fom Transunion. The score they got from EQ seems a lot closer to my TU score.
The scores in my siggy were all taken from MYFICO I guess it really validates your claim about myfico. I used to think they were pretty close to the real thing. Now I have no idea what my scores are.

I believe the cc approval is thru EQ but the monthly score they provide is TU 08 fico score. I am not 100% sure but i think the cli is thru TU also.

That makes a lot of sense. However, the EQ Fico they used for approval seems to be a lot better than the 670 taken from myfico score watch....well probably 683 thats what it was before the inquiry.
Hey, I just had another thought....my EQ is "locked" I didnt think anyone could get the score from a locked bureau. Most creditors have to ask me to unlock.
There are 50 or so real Fico scores out there, Discover used a version thats not available for consumer purchace. Obviously a credit card enhanced version.
