So I've always been told my FICO score is the only one that matters. However, just for giggles I pulled my report and score from Experian and there's quite the difference. With my FICO there have never been any negatives listed (which I've always found odd but hey, why question it!) and a score of 730-740 over the last year or so. With my Experian, there are 3 negatives listed, and a score of 629.
What gives? I'm prepping for applying for an apartment and was wondering if I should be concerned about this. Also I understand that the negatives certainly aren't helping me but I also have a CC and an Auto loan that have been paid on time for 16/16 months each. Why is my Experian score so low still?
Should I be concerned about being denied an apartment? The negatives are all small medical bills sent to collections in 2009/2010.
As always, thanks in advance for any info you can give!
There are three credit reporting agencies so there should be three seperate FICO scores based on the info from each individual credit report. Fair Issacs Corp (FICO) developed the software used to calculate your FICO score. Thus, 3 agencies - 3 scores.

First of all there isn't just one FICO score. Scores are based on the data in your reports. You have a score based on the data from each of the 3 CRA's. Additionally, FICO doesn't have just once scoring model. See also (from the Understanding FICO Scoring subforum):
You can't expect a score from one scoring model to be the same as a score from an entirely different scoring model even if they're both FICO's.

Experian doesn't provide FICO's.

Can't really comment on how it would affect a potential apartment lease. However, I always recommend addressing derods since they usually have a significant impact. Visit the Rebuilding subforum to see what you can do.
Can you provide more infromation on what you mean by 3 negatives on the Experian credit report?
