Dispute Conclusions from Equifax: What does this mean?

I have an old medical collection from 2003 that only reported on Equifax.  I really can't remember what it was and my credit report from Equifax didn't show the collection agency name or any identifying information.  I disputed this as "not mine" last week and received a letter from Equifax today.  The results of the investigation state:  "We have reviewed your concerns and our conclusions are:  The following disputed account or inquiry is currently not reporting on your Equifax credit file:   xxxxxxxx."  The included a copy of my credit report along with the letter, and there under the collections area was the collection that I asked about with the collection agency name and all the info.  So how is it not reporting on my file?  Is there something that I'm just not getting?  Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.
