I checked my CR through our banks credit monitoring service and two accounts, that are both paid and in good standing, show commments that I am dusputing them. I never disputed them, I mean they are paid in ful,l so why would I? Both disputed are showing with Experian only. Last time I checcked my CR with this serice was three months ao and there were no disputes. How hard is this going to be to remoe the commments?
Should be hard at all
Good luck
Do I write the CRA and say that I never disputed them or just say that I no longer am disputing them? I am worried if I say that I never dipsuted them, they will investigate and then the dispute comments will stay on longer. We are hoping to buy a home in the spring. Of course one of the disputes is for our last mortgage!

I would call in and dispute the fact that the comments were added and you've never had a dispute ....should be an easy fix and the fact that they investigate will not make the comments stay longer either way
To me its just a typo someone entered incorrectly on their end they'll be able to see that you've had no contact with them.

ok, thank you! I will call on Monday. I should call the CRA and not the creditor??
I share your concern about disputing to resolve the issue of no prior dispute.
Kinda a catch-22, as a dispute over an improper dispute becomes a legit dispute, carrying on the potential problem of its removal.
I would, when contacting the CRA, make it clear that you are NOT disputing under the FCRA, but merely asking for their review of a clearly improper dispute flag.
If a dispute flag is still showing, there must have been a prior dispute in your file. If no dispute shows, then the CRA should delete administratively.
If there is the showing of a prior dispute, the FCRA requires resolution within 30'ish days, so if there is any showing of a dispute that is more than a month of so, they should also remove the pending dispute flag as clearly improper.
If those informal attempts with the CRA get you nowhere, I would file a complaint with the CFPB, based on the reasons above.

Thanks for the information. I will call tomorrow and see what I can do tomorrow.
I called exp today and the CS rep said she would delete the dispute comment from my CR. I got an email confirmation and when I looked at the updated report, the dispute comment is gone off the bottom of this TL, but there is a note that says" This item was updated from our processing of your dispute in Jan 2014. " This should be fine then? It shows dispute was closed/removed?
Whats odd is she removed this from mine and when I asked @ my husband's ( joint account) she asked for his SS# and removed it from his CR too. Then she asked if she could help with anything else, so I asked her @ the other dispuute, which was just on hubbby's and she removed that too.
These were the last two things we needed to clean up off CR, so I hope his is done and we can keep working towards buying a home soon.
