I have 2 Adverse accounts on my reports. One is a student loan of 2K which is in deferment, and shows no late payments, but somehow is in the wrong place because they got the memo late about my new graduate program. The other is a collection account of $500-ish which should not be on there, because it was not mine. I just contested these this past week. How long until they get removed?

Welcome to the forum
The process can take up to 30 days to complete
Some are faster but you must have a decision within 30 days
Good luck
If you have an issue of an account that is not based on anything authorized by you, the dispute process may not get resolution.
The furnisher can, after they investigate, verify the accuracy of their reporting without providing supporting documentation.
If you receive verification in response to your dispute, which may be likely, you should look into getting it blocked from your credit report by filing an identity theft report, affirming that you never authorized the account or any transactions related thereto.
Thanks. That helps!
