Disputing | Good or Bad?

Just wondering:

  1. Would it be worth trying to dispute and have deragatory remarks removed from my credit report.  They all stem from my Chapter 7 (so I doubt I can have them removed) ...  but I figure it might be worth trying?  Is there any negative backlash doing this?
  2. I also have a public record that was a case filed against me...  but I was wondering if that would be something I could potentially get removed also?  Any tips or tricks known out there?
  3. I was denied (Synchrony Bank) on a credit line increase, and this is also shown on my Discover Card FICO report
    • SERIOUS DELINQUENCY AND PUBLIC RECORD OR COLLECTION FILED

My issue with #3 is the serious delinquency.   Any thoughts why that is there?

It seems contrary to my credit karma (and other reports) which state:

The percentage of payments you've made on time  (To clarify,  the only reason this isn't 100% is because of my OLD student loan I'm still paying on

98% 95.8% >

Since my BK7,  I've been working hard to improve my credit score,  and just hit 663 today with a 16 point increase in the last month! (Thanks to the addtion of a Capital One and Discover Card)

THANKS!!

Re: Disputing | Good or Bad?

What is exactly you are disputing? The bk itself?  Under the Consumer Protection agreement many types of judgements and tax liens will be removed later this year.

Re: Disputing | Good or Bad?

Well...   I'm probably off on this,  but I seem to recall reading somewhere people having sucess having the 'deragatory remark' portion removed.  Does that make sense?

That's right! - I remember reading something about Consumer Protection...  I hope this will be something that will fall off.  Forgot about that - thanks.

Any thoughts on the serious deliquency?  I don't feel that applies,  but I'm also not sure how to approach that.

Thanks

Re: Disputing | Good or Bad?

What will go off is most tax liens and judgements ie most public records. To be included they had to have name, address,    ss # or birthday as i seem to recall. Redact or partial numbers do not count.  The one id thieft on my wife from years ago we are finally trying to get removed this way.  We could not get off any other way. It is now almost up any any way.  We just sent  in the request last week.

Your BK is going to be considered as a serious delinquency until it falls off.
