Do CCCs go back and check inactive account information and update the CRAs if wrong

I have a CC that was in DMP with a 6k CL that should have been closed when PIF but wasnt.  They last activity on it was Mar 07.  Do you think they will ever go back and check that it should be closed and close it.  Does it matter to my FICO score?  Also the account had no lates on it.

I had 2 accounts with them and the other one was closed.

Shhhh! Not a peep! Let's hope not. And when was the last time that a CCC did any tidying up on its own initiative? I'd say hope for the best, but expect that one day it might vanish.

My Equifax report shows 2 open Chase accounts with identical 14 years history, but only one is actually open. My Chase card has gone through a couple conversions and during one of the conversions, Chase did not close the old account out [on the bureau report].

I plan to wait until the year 2050 to call Chase and have them correct the info. By then, my FICO 50 score should be irrelevant.

That is the main reason why I wont GW the 2 30 lates on the closed account.  they are from 2003 so that aren't hurting me that much.

My feeling is that Wells Fargo thinks that both accounts are closed but for some reason they didnt report the 2nd one as being closed.  I also hope the Wells Fargo would blacklist me since so they wont look at my CR. I dont need them for anything.

I hope the open account remains on my CR for 9 more years.

2050 sounds good to me too.  At that point I want my age to be higher then my FICO score.
