Do Overdraft LOC report to CRAs?

I want to apply with HSBC (my bank) for a $5k overdraft LOC.

Will that report to my credit report if/when I am not using it as a 'new line' or does it only report if/when you have a balance?

You need to call the creditor and ask them. With my account they will report both with or with no balance. It also reports as an revolving account. So ask them!!!!

So if you get a $5k overdraft, it reports as a new $5k revolving line? I guess the good news is it helps utilization.

Can I ask if it was as easy to get the OD as it is/was to get cards and if they gave you a decent OD line?

    My bank does not report my OD protection, I think because it is suppose to be used as a temporary loan.  So I guess you would need to ask if they report it.  Vicki

My wife's ODP LOC reports to all three CRAs...balance on it or not.

my $5k OD protection is with my credit union, and is reported to EX and EQ, but not TU .

it reports both with and without balance.
