Look for their checking coupons for free $200 for account opening! I bought one on eBay for $2 I believe, well worth it! Especially if you plan on using them anyway!

Think that promotional offer may have expired, they switched from Checking to Savings a few months back.

Last spring I went to a branch to open a checking and Freedom CC.  Chase double pulled EX and TU.  However, they did NOT pull ChexSystems.  I assume the double HP was just for the Freedom CC.  Before the app I had never had a Chase CC or deposit account.

They emailed me a bonus offer to open a savings account a couple of months later.  I don't believe they pulled anything for that.

It is possible they also pulled from one of the minor CRA's.  I have only check the 3 major CRA's and ChexSystems this year.

Yeah Chase started doing double pulls for Freedom approvals.  Good to know about the no-Chex check, I was apparently mistaken.
