Does "No Data" have negative impact on CR

A few weeks ago I contacted Capital One regarding a late payment back in 01/2010. After some conversation, they agreed to remove the late.

Today I checked my CR from Experian and sure enough the reported late payment was changed to "OK" as in payment made on time. However, on my CR, the months between 01/2010 to 03/2012 have all changed to "ND"(no data). I've had perfect payment in those months and I want it to reflect that.

So my question is will 25 months worth of "No Data" have negative impacts on my credit?

Thanks

No ~ the "No Data" notation won't hurt your FICO score.

Thanks Pizzadude. How will creditors/analysts look at it?

I really don't think it will be questioned.   Most CC credit applications are processed thru automated underwriting and very likely only look for lates/negatives.

I suspect that at some point it will revert back to OK status as well, it could just be a glitch with how Cap1 or the CRAs processed the updates.

And congrats on getting Cap1 to remove a late payment !  Was it just a single late ?

It's weird how it happened. It was showing "OK" for those 25 months before I called Cap 1 to GW the late. Then everything turned to "No Data". I hope it goes back to OK because it just looks better

It was a single late on this account. I've had other lates on other accounts with them but on this account, it was the only baddie since it was opened back in 11/2008. The rep on the phone made it super easy and related to me by telling me that he recently had to do the same thing. I had another account(closed) that he was also trying to get the 2 late baddies removed but he couldn't because it's been closed since OCT 2010. He recommended me to write some GWs.

Surprised overall. Now I gotta tackle my monster baddie with toyota financial, which are a string of 9 lates in 2009

Re: Does "No Data" have negative impact on CR

ND vs OK is basically a no-distinction, and not something of concern.

OK means they reported that month.  ND means no update was received or recorded that month, or possibly even reported by later deleted.  Creditors are not required to report monthly.

Someone looking at your CR would not infer delinquency based on no reported data that month.  They would infer the status prior to and after the last reporting.
