Does removing a closed TL affect your score?

I had a CO from a few years back in 01 that I am trying to have removed but, afraid it may also impact my length of credit factor.

IT can- however the CO is hurting more than length of credit -IMO
 
Payment history and number of positive accounts counts more than length.
