Don't understand disputing

I pull my credit reports monthly and have been doing so for years. All three are showing ZERO late payments, every time.

However....myFICO shows that both Equifax and Experian were reporting a serious deliquency to them. Those two accounts are 50 points lower than TransUnion, which is showing NO late payments (this is correct).

Experian and Equifax both said there is nothing they can do; i.e. there is nothing for me to dispute with them. I have NO LATE PAYMENTS on record. Period. They are not reporting anything but 100% on-time payments and no derogatory comments.

I have been reduced to tears of frustration several times trying to fix this. What do I do?? myFICO is NOT accurate and keeps directing me back to Experian and Equifax. I am at wit's end and ready to get a lawyer to fix this. Please, any advice will be helpful....

Re: Don't understand disputing

Have you pulled your credit reports from AnnualCreditReport.com?  If so, are they a match for the reports you get from myFICO?  If they match, then you need to take it up with Equifax and Experian.

Chapter 13:

  • Filed: 26-Feb-2015
  • MoC: 01-Mar-2015
  • 1st Payment (posted): 23-Mar-2015
  • Last Payment (posted): 07-Feb-2020
  • Discharged: 04-Mar-2020
  • Closed: 23-Jun-2020

I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

I have pulled them up from there, yes. Experian and Equifax are denying responsibility for fixing this. I don't understand how myFICO can show serious deliquencies that don't exist. Even Credit Karma, which I know is not accurate on scores, shows zero late payments.

Thank you for your response.

So you're saying the reports from annualcreditreport.com and myFICO are in agreement?

Re: Don't understand disputing

I'm sorry, let me start over and be as clear as possible (my first post was written too emotionally for clarity):

myFICO is showing I have one serious deliquency from each Experian and Equifax. However, I pulled my credit reports from each bureau directly; all three of them show NO such deliquency. Does not exist, never did. I filed disputes with Experian and Equifax anyway, which were both dismissed because "how can you ask to remove something that doesn't exist?"

So where is myFICO getting this deliquency from and how can it possibly affect my score if it's NOT on the credit report? I just don't understand this at all.

Re: Don't understand disputing

Fair enough, then it sounds like a myFICO issue.  It would be interesting if you were to switch to credit.com's ExtraCredit service and see if the 28 FICO scores they report for you line up with those from myFICO.  If they don't then just cancel your service from myFICO and use the ones from ExtraCredit.

Re: Don't understand disputing

What are the serious delinquencies that MyFICO is showing on EX and EQ?  Do they show lates or collections that are not on your ACR's?  Or are you seeing a reason statement along the lines of "presence of serious delinquency"?  If the latter, do you see it on any other FICO score sources (as opposed to Vantage sources like CK) for those two bureaus?

A serious delinquency does not have to be a late payment mark. Do you have a different type of derog only on those 2 bureaus that is not on the 3rd bureau?

Also, I believe CK really only tracks lates up thru 2 or 4 years. I dont find them the most reliable source - not even MyFico - the only reports I truly trust are thru Annual Credit Report for all 3 or straight from TU for the TU report (same report that annual credit report has). EX is very close, but ACR offers a more thourough report and EQ report straight from EQ I found can vary greatly from the one thru ACR.

Some creditors do not report to all 3 bureaus, so it may not necessarily be incorrect that it is missing from TU or being included only on EQ and EX.

Re: Don't understand disputing

@Anonymous Welcome to myFICO forum . . . Are you speaking to Experian (EX) and Equifax (EQ) management or the overseas team? In my experience EQ is the absolute most difficult to deal with and EX and TransUnion (TU) are the best!!!

EDIT ~ Ok, I read your updated comments -and- it appears that the issue is myFICO reporting. Perhaps the myFICO staff can research to determine the root cause. If myFico issues you something in writing (i.e. letter, E-mail, etc.) . . . you can then contact and provide the myFICO response to the EX and EQ management teams. Wishing you success in resolving this issue!!!

Starting FICO 8 Score in 06/2019: EQ-625, TU-649, EX-640
Current FICO 8 Score in 06/2021: EQ-796, TU-806, EX-812
Goal FICO 8 Score in 06/2022: EQ-825, TU-850, EX-850

Sounds like MF is pulling a mixed file or the wrong file.
