Hello All,
My most recent Credit Karma update (8-15) shows a duplicate account for my Chase Freedom Unlimited on my Equifax report. I've had the card for four months, and this is the first I've seen of the issue (through CK, at least).
Once I noticed the discrepancy, I decided to get my report directly from Equifax, and the duplicate account does indeed exist on my report (I had hoped that it was just an issue with CK).
Additionally, I get my Equifax report every 90 days from Experian, and my most recent report (8-14) doesn't show the duplicate account, so it appears that issue either happened on 8-15 (which seems a rather large coincidence) or Experian removes dups from the info they get from Equifax (pure speculation here, obviously).
Is anyone familiar with this? Is this something that can resolve on its own? Should I dispute the duplicate account?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Perhaps, check ACR and see what is reported?

Yes, I just got my report from Equifax. The account is being reported twice.

@LooksAreDeceiving, I would NOT file a dispute with Equifax, as that could open a major can of worms!
I would call your Creditor and explain to them, and see if they cannot resolve it.

Thanks, that was my concern. I will contact Chase directly, and they will hopefully be able to resolve the issue on their end.
If only they'd be so kind as to duplicate my checking account
