Duplicate account = loss of 76 points...help!

Hi guys,
I know one of you can help me with this. I think I know how to handle it, but not sure.

I've had a derogatory account on my Experian report for 4 yrs now. A totally bogus account that  I only found out about back in September when I started checking my Credit reports. Since it was already over 3 yrs old at that time it seemed to have little affect on my credit scores. ( Only shows on Ex. and my scores across the board were all within 10 points of each other.)

Two days ago my Ex. Fako was 721...today I checked and it had plummeted to 645!  It appears that another CA is reporting the same old account as the previous CA...with a change in date and a different account number. (see below).

My question is, can I dispute this with EX. as a duplicate account and have it removed? And, should I do the dispute in writing or is it just as well done from Truecredits site? Any other actions I should

Have to say that I find it interesting that this reports as "opened" in Setember...then same month I began checking my credit reports frequently.

Thanks for reading and for your help....Vee

Dispute in writing with the CRA. If done online they get 45 days not 30. You can also send DV's to both ca's as only one has the legal right to colllect and thus report. The other must remove.
