EX...Most Utilized?

I have noticed quite an uptick in EX pulls not only at this forum but within my circle here in Hawaii. For so long most of our local banks and even Mainland CCCs and banks almost always pulled EQ, not anymore. Has anyone else noticed this trend in there area?

Re: EX...Most Utilized?

Actually, yes.  It seems like every CC I have applied for recently has been with EX.  The only EQ pull I have had was from an apartment complex that I am going to move to.  I wonder why this is.

Starting Score: 583 EQ, 612 EX, 569 TU
Current Score: 658 EQ, 648 EX, 618 TU
Goal Score: 720 EQ, 720 EX, 720 TU

Re: EX...Most Utilized?

I think it may be due to the fact that both TU and EQ can be altered with daily pulls. EX is the only bureau that cannot be manipulated in this way.  I also noticed that more of my softs are hitting EX.

Re: EX...Most Utilized?

Yep-
EX is making some serious inroads.

Other than Junny (TU partnership)

Even WAMU is pulling EX more.

Re: EX...Most Utilized?

I remember Amex being a heavy EQ puller now it seems for the last several months they pull almost exclusively from EX. Others I noticed pulling EX in Hawaii are Discover, Macy's, Chase and BoA.

The only one of those that did not pull EX for me was Chase, they pulled EQ

Re: EX...Most Utilized?

My new CU is using EX for their pulls. This is fine with me. I just applied online last night for a Visa Gold card with a $5k limit. Considering my EX is 687, I should be good to go! I also just got an auto loan from them and was told I have good scores and "easily" qualified for the $14k I needed.

Chase pulled EQ on me as well

Re: EX...Most Utilized?

I just got approved for a Discover More card and they pulled EX.  AMEX pulled TU and NFCU pulled EQ for a Visa, MC and a LOC.
