EX Removing Old Items

I called EX about 3 hours ago asking when three accounts will drop off of my report. All three were showing April 2008.  The rep I talked to said that is just an estimate and it may not fall off till next month.  She told me anytime my report shows a drop date of the current month and just call they can put in a request to removed it within 10 days.  Well about fifteen minutes ago I got the result of the investigation and they deleted all three off of my report.  Was hoping for a larger jump but hey 19 points is better then no points, especially when shopping for a new house.

Now EQ was a different story.  She would not help me at all.  In fact those three items may not fall off till July even tough TU and EX has removed them.

So check your EX report and call if you should any dropping off this month.  Of course make sure they know you are not disputing the items just want to know when they will be removed.  Just happy that TU finally got me into the 700 club.  Too bad not too many companies use them for inq in AZ.

Barclay's/Juniper uses TU all over the place.   Hopefully you will get a pre approved offer from them.  If not, you can try calling to see if you qualify.  If you are over 700 without alot of other credit, I would think you should be ok.

What number did you call to get a live person at EX??  I have been having such a hard time!!

I just called 1-800-493-1058.  Give your report number and last 4 of your SSN.  When it starts asking about a dispute, just say "AGENT" and then of course say yes when they ask if you would like to speak to one.  Was on hold about 5 minutes (8 AM Pacific yesterday morning)
