Hello everyone,
Today I called Experian to do a EE
The representative stated it would be removed within 72hrs.. However some time goes by, and I get an alert that I opened a dispute..
Is this their new way of doing things?
I'm confused because I never asked to do an dispute.. Should I call them back or wait the 72hrs?
Thanks in advance

I would wait the 72 hours and see what the outcome is. Sometimes calling back in complicates matters. MHO
Thank you..
That's what I'll do.

wait the 72 hours!! If you call back, ask for supervisor. I do believe another poster had this happen. It was removed properly.
How far away were you from it dropping off? Mine drops off 6/10/2020 but they wouldn't remove it.
It was due to fall off in July... He placed me on hold, and came back and said it would be removed. And I should see a change within 72hrs.. Maybe it depends on the Rep you get.. Hopefully it does fall off.. Even though it's paid.. I would like it off before I start house shopping. Transunion took it off straight away..
What number did you call?
I called +18772847942
And pressed 2 for general credit information.

Hmmm, my BK falls off Sept. 23, my notes from the BK experts is that EX will remove 1-3 months early, looks like you may have success at 4 months. BTW, I'm told Equifax is the worst, will remove only 0-1 month early.
I'm going to try Transunion at the end of March, 6 months. Good luck! And yeah, you want the BK off your report before house hunting, should be a big jump in your score when it's off your report.
UPDATE: Just got the alert.. They removed it. I went back and looked it was set to come off my report in October.. Don't know where I got June from. I'm thinking maybe because it was a paid student loan from 2004? IDK.. Anyway, goodluck to everyone that's trying to get things removed from their credit.
