I wake up this morning I log in to my Equifax report and much to my surprise.... two medical collection accounts in the amounts of 197 times 2 have been removed (fall off date 6/16). I've attempted to contact the collection agency numerous times, to no avail. I was so eager to see what my fico scores were, that i had to purchase them, When I first began a year ago my fico scores were Equifax (636) Experian (645) Transunion (650). As of today Equifax (696), Transunion (690), and Experian (694). I still have one collection account thats reporting on Transunion and Experian with a removal date of 6/16. I thank the my fico family so much. Without your educated input I would have never understood the importance of credit. Thanks so much!
Great going!
Not to be a pessimist, but if the debt remains unpaid, a new collection could appear at any time up to 7 years plus 180 days from the DOFD.
It is possible that the debt was sold, in which case the new owner might wish to let you know where to send your $$........
I wouldn't consider it being a pessimist, thats the reality of it. If it did get sold I'd be highly surprised, it was a in-house collection agency. When I sent a PFD there was comments on the collections on my Equifax report, which stated consumer disputes medical. If perhaps it did get sold I hope to recieve a letter for payment before it reaches the CRA. Thanks for the input.
Wow, thats legit. Anything ealier than you 1st thought, is always a good thing.
Absoutely
Did they resubmit or update the collection account? I'm no expert maybe RobertEG can chime in, he's very knowledgeable! Good Luck on your credit journey!
