Equifax Monitoring

How can you monitor and receive alerts from Equifax? Only thing I see is a one time payment to look at report and score. Nothing that actually sends you an alert anytime your report or score changes, like Experian and Trans Union do. Thanks

Re: Equifax Monitoring

Equifax's credit monitoring service is TrustedID Premier.   They offered enrollment for free monitoring for 1 year after the security breach, but I think they stopped (free) enrollment at the end of January -- not 100% sure about that though.  The monitoring service kind of sucks anyway tho.  And they don't offer scores (or score monitoring) with it, just your report, which takes about 12 minutes to load.  The only good thing is you can pull a new report daily.

Honestly, you'd do just fine signing up for Credit Karma monitoring for tracking report changes.  It's free, they'll send alerts for both TU and EQ, and the reports for both bureaus update weekly -- you'll just have to ignore the Vantage scores provided.   If you need / want to monitor your EQ Fico score - you'll have to sign up for 3B monitoring service (ie. MyFICO, Experian, Credit Check Total, etc.) or become a cardholder of lender that offers EQ FICO monthly.

Re: Equifax Monitoring

I hope no one EVER has to deal with Equifax! This is the most incompetent organization I've ever seen. I'm beyond frustrated. The other two agencies were easy to deal with and could monitor everything involving your credit. NOT EQUIFAX! Would not let me talk for my wife even after she identified herself and gave permission. Filing dispute would not work online so someone that barely understood anything we were saying filed it for us. Scary. The other two agencies have removed a late payment based on Citibank response except Equifax. I will be shocked if they get this right.
