Equifax...THIN file?

I've always had an Equifax score but this morning I woke up and CK updated my Eq report to include my 2 Cap1 cards. BUT I no longer have a score. It says my file is too thin.

I have a total of 4 credit cards

1 auto loan

5 student loans

and 3 other loans

Only 5 of these are in collections

What gives? My file isn't thin. I wonder why they didn't give me a score this update?

Another thing, I read Capt 1 uaully take about 2 months to report. I hadn't had my cards for a month yet and they report already on Equifax and Experian. I guess things are changind with them.

How many of these accounts are open/active?  If you fell under the threshold then you may find yourself with a thin file.

Time to first report varies.  It can take up to 2 months.  That doesn't mean that it takes 2 months in all cases.

Be careful with "only".  1 collection in itself is a serious problem.  Definitely hit the Rebuilding subforum and carefully research.

Re: Equifax...THIN file?

I have 4 credit cards reporting, a car note and students loans in good standing. No lates. 3 of the baddies expire in 2017. 2 were posted to my account last year. I have a plan of action for the baddies. My goal is a garden my credit cards until the end of the year. As I'm doing this I'll be saving more money to pay off some of my debts. Then pay the 2 recent accounts before the year is out and let the other 3 fall off early next year.

I'm just trying to figure out how my Equifax file says its thin but it has the same things the other CRA has but they are fine.

Re: Equifax...THIN file?

Did EQ tell you that or did CK?

Personally, I wouldn't trust ANYTHING CK tells you about a score.

Re: Equifax...THIN file?

It says it on CK. I should have known better than to trust them lol. I usually use it for allerts on new/dropped accounts. It was just odd that I had a score last week and this week POOF it was gone. I'll update my CCT and see what it says.
