Okay all,
Here is a random question.
I had to file Ch. 7 BK back in October and have been getting all of the adverse action letters in the mail saying my accounts were closed, etc.
Everyone one of them offered a free credit report as a result. Over the past few weeks, I've pulled about 10 or so adverse action credit reports with Experian and Equifax to ensure the file is updated properly. Probably too many in a short amount of time, but I have letters supporting each request.
Last Thursday, I noticed that my attorney's address was on my experian credit report. I disputed it (come to find out Honda Financial was the culprit), but ever since that day, I cannot access any credit reports. Experian says to call, but can't do anything and Equifax says they cannot identify me and need to send a copy of my drivers license and social security card.
Should I send this? Is this because I disputed a public record item. Granted my credit is jacked because of the pending bankruptcy, but I don't want to send this info via regular mail where someone could hack it.
Thoughts?
Calling these places that useless.
