So in March I started an online dispute for an AMEX TL which was reporting incorrect dates for lates. When you do this online, and go to your CR via the dispute center ("start a dispute"), you get a few pages of TLs and info which have little pencils next to items that can be disputed. You click on them, they bring up a screen, and you can give reasons, upload docs, etc.
A few weeks later, EQ updated the Amex report with wrong, very wrong info. All the lates now appear months after my BK7 filing and during my discharge, and while the TL says closed, but it appears "open" with last on time payment in February 2020 (it was closed end of 2018)! Additionally, it is reporting variously as a "loan" and "other."
I want to dispute this, but the little pencil icon to dispute is gone, replaced with wording like "reinvestigation in process".
Thank you!
Contact the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB). If they were included in your BK, you can reach out to your attorney as well.

@Brian_Earl_Spilner Thanks! So you think I should not reach out to Equifax first to have them correct it? Go straight to the CFPB? I mean it is pretty clear that it hasn't been resolved in 4 months. I filed pro se, so I don't have an attorney. Maybe now I need one.

I did this just now. I never did that before, so I was nervous. Done. Thank you again!
Update: I went right to the CFPB and filed a dispute last week. Today I got a MyFICO alert that there were changes. So I open up the app and my equifax score jumped 37 points to 724. This must be the highest credit score I've ever had, that I know of. I expect it will fluctuate more because I'm not convinced that they are actually done with this TL and I still have to deal with a TU and EX but I'm 😁.
i went to equifax online and the Amex TL has moved from open loan to closed revolving with no history. I'll report back with any more results.
Sorry, I'm just seeing this now. Glad it worked out for you. Hope everything else goes as smoothly.
