Re: Equifax freeze down for anyone else?

I prefer online. Last phone experience was a nightmare. After answering verification questions correctly, I was prompted to send in my information. We should get paid to use EQ craptastic services.

Re: Equifax freeze down for anyone else?

This has been an issue all week.  I was looking for my new monthly update and getting ready to either apply or at least consider it so I have seen this too many times this week.  I've tried multiple browsers and times of the day.  Finally on WED, I did as @AllZero mentioned and used the phone.  Yes, it's a pain but Yes, it's all automated so at least there wasn't hold time.  Anyhow, got done what I needed and thought...let's just make sure it's really done and try logging in again...sure enough, got right in and it was working...ARGHHH....and yes, it was adjusted as per the phone call I made.

I looked again this morning since and it wasn't working then an hour later, it was.

You could ask @AverageJoesCredit about EQ freezes? ..

and the nightmare of getting it unfroze! (picture a good meme in your head)

This is why, I just use EQ LOCK through TU.

Yes, i loathe Eq. I recently applied for something after having unlocked my Eq  and for some strange reason  they could not pull. Told me to contact Eq and i told them lol nope, wont happen since they are a nightmare to deal with on phone and i can never do anything online with them  so  it is what it is.

The lock can get stuck as well.

I just did a prequal through HSBC for a personal loan and they SP'd Equifax. I got the "excessive obligations in relation to income" denial but that means they were able to SP me so thankfully my report isn't stuck in limbo it seems.

Yes mine was saying that I had temporarily lifted until September 2020 before it all broke. Gotta love EQ. Smiley Frustrated

Re: Equifax freeze down for anyone else?

I think at times the EQ lock was stuck (3) times in a year.
