Probably your AAoA dropped due to removal of TL. Do you know your AAoA before and after?

What was the item you originally disputed that lead to it being notated as "consumer disputes this account"?

It was a 30 day late from about two years ago. Actually, for clarification I didn't dispute it. I wrote a letter asking for a GW removal because my father had been diagnosed with cancer and had immediate surgery out if town and I was just preoccupied with everything. Nowhere in the letter did I even write the word "dispute" but they reported it as disputed to the credit agencies.
I believe dispute is the only way to correct things on report even if didnt ask. Then after investigation its corrected or goes away. And when an item is under dispute they dont consider for scoring. Its not the verbiage, they somewhere mark it as "dispute" . It happened to my gecrb card, but score came back up afte they close the dispute. I would call equifax to know if its still on dispute.
regarding your score going down after you paid down, did you make all 0s?

I didn't bring them all down to zero l, no but well under 30 percent. As for the dispute, as I said, before the GW was filed I had the score and I had the score while it was in dispute, it was only after removing the terminology that the score went down.
Are you 100% sure something else didn't change on your report?

Yeup. Compared them immediately. Also, the LO pulled the report several days after the score dropped on MyFico and said that the score didn't drop. I'm thinking MyFico is a scam or something. It just doesn't make any sense.
FICO formulas have a ton of moving parts, but I'm not prepared to say it's a scam. Does your new score prevent you from getting a mortgage?
