Equifax vs transunion deletions

Had 3 baddies drop off of Equifax as of Weds. Same are reporting still on Transunion. Are there various times of month each remove/ update? All had DOFD of Oct 2010.

Re: Equifax vs transunion deletions

TransUnion is always the last one to drop my baddies. Equifax & Experian seem to be a week or two ahead of them.

Re: Equifax vs transunion deletions

The exclusion period for collections and charge-offs is no later than 7 years plus 180 days from the DOFD.

The CRAs routinely grant their own early exclusion at approx 7 years from DOFD, but exclusion can occur at different times, and can extend the full 7 plus 180.

The only absolute is that exclusion must occur after 7 years plus 180 days.

DOFD is only reported as a month/year.  No day of the month is involved.

Thus, the required exclusion date is the beginning of the next month after expiration of 7 years plus 180 days from the reported DOFD.

TU Will delete early. Early exclusion—call and ask them to delete. If no-ask for supervisor. Good luck!
