This morning while going over a concern with my credit card company and getting it resolved I was asked by the CSR if there was anything else I needed.
For the heck of it I said do you have any offers for me.
He replied what do you mean.
I said just asking about anything so far as an offer.
He said wait a minute let me check and he came back a few minutes later and excitely said that I would be getting my annual fee which I paid last month of 39.95 back to my account.
I was like COOL Why Thank You!
I also get my matching cashback credits from Discover this month due to my card hitting 1 year.
Just Saying....Every little bit helps.
Good job asking. Question though... what card are you paying a $40 AF to? If it's a lower tier card, it may be worth dumping it.

That's actually pretty cool! I have to remember to do this from time to time.
Definitely never hurts to ask. You never know what might be waiting there
