Im opening an account at wells fargo 400 dollar sign up bonus. Will deposit and then transfer money . Will only use to pay utilities and give access to boost.
While I would always advise caution with handing any info out, if a person get a small boost and avoid predatory lenders by gaining 10 points, or get better interest rate loans wise, I think it's a fair trade. It can be revoked at any time.
Besides, I am pretty sure CRAs have that info, one way or another. A few secondary bureaus have my estimated income within a few thousands, which is a pretty small margin of error.
We've handed all of our info , freely or not, long time ago.
OP, when you no longer need this boost, revoke it. In the meanwhile, I hope it helps.
It's "suppose to be a secured method" but of course in life we know that nothing is full proof.
This being said, if you feel uncomfortable with it, you can always opt out. Just sign into experian and go to your account and cancel it. I actually tried it for 24 hrs just out of curiosity and then removed it. I've had no issues since.
Yes, you can "turn it off" at any time.
