Experian Credit Score

Hello Guys,

I am a newbie on this site and have been reading and reading, printing and printing (lol).  I have a question regarding (experian) scores.  I am unable to view through myfico.com so does this mean when I pull my experian report, that score is a real FICO score?  If not, how do I obtain a true score?

Thanks alot !

Re: Experian Credit Score

You still have an EX FICO score.

What you don't have is direct access to it any longer.

If your creditor pulls an EX FICO, they will get your true EX FICO score.

Any EX score you have access to is a FAKO.

Re: Experian Credit Score

The Experian FICO score is no longer available.

Experian sells credit scores, but these are not the scores that lenders use.

Re: Experian Credit Score

Hi,

Ty for the reply.  So are you saying that lenders are seeing the SAME score as we do on experian ?  Or do they have a way of seeing the TRUE score through other means?

Thanks

Re: Experian Credit Score

Does anyone know how close the actual experian plus scores are from the actual experian fico scores? I was going to order my score from EX just to get some type of idea (although not an accurate, but at least I would know my range). I didn't bother pulling a TC score since myfico offers the actual TU score, I'm already signed up with EQ, it's just my EX score that I'm curious about. I applied for a BOA visa and was denied, I haven't received my letter yet but I do know they pulled from my EX, which I do know I have one collection dating back 3 years ago that I paid, and have never been late on anytthing since then. So it's really baffling me. I'm really trying to stay on top of my credit and forums like these are definitely an asset.

Re: Experian Credit Score

Gilbran, this is a very old thread and you may get more answers if you start a new one.

Currently, there is a 12 pt difference between my lender pulled EX (812) and my CCT (800) scores.  (CCT is CreditCheckTotal)

YMMV,

There's zero relationship, formula-wise, between EX's PLUS or Vantage in relation to FICO. One can go up and the other down for the exact same event. Also, the score ranges differ. Many a time I would see either score (Vantage or PLUS) drop only to pull my EX FICO, when we could at one point, only to see an increase rather than a decrease. IMO, ignore those scores.
