Experian HATES me!!!!!

Hi all,

I have been disputing Experian on a couple accts that are reported wrong!!  But, they keep coming back verified!!  In late 2002 we had a ch. 7 bk that was discharged in early 2003.  Several medical collections (all from the same CA)  that were IIB,  were showing past due amts as of 10/2005.  So, I disputed them.  They are now reporting IIB as of 10/17/2005.?!?!  

So, I disputed them again.  They came back verified!!!

So, I tried to dispute AGAIN....now, they won't accept anymore disputes because they have been verified.  GEEEEZ

Each time I try to do it, I get the error message "this item has been verified".

We are about to let our lender pull our credit for a construction loan. (in late March) We really want to get these corrected by then. 

Oh FICO geniuses, what do we do now???  I am concerned because of the time issue.  Should I call?...if so, what is the #?  Should I mail it?...if so, what is the address?  Should I fax it?...if so, what is the best #? 

Will they even re-investigate?  Thank you all sooo much!!

BTW.....In just the last 4 months....our scores have gone up, on average 90+ points per cra!!!  Thanks to all you incredible people (and all your amazing credit info and suggestions) here at myfico!! (EX is about 15 points lower than our others)

What do the other two CRs and scores look like?  Mortgages usually pull all three and use the middle on (which is why I am not too bothered that EX hates me - it is 50 points lower than the others, but for me that has only affected AMEX)

I hear you--Experian hates me as well.

The worst is when you dispute something more then once and then they say "sorry but the account has already been disputed--you can't dispute anymore"

Has anyone found a way to get around that? Phone call? Letter? You can't dispute online with them after they flag you with that

They ( TU & EQ ) are just above 680 for me,( DH's are just above 700, except EX which is at 670 )....but, don't they pull all 3 and analyze them?  I know they will use the lowest middle score of me & DH. 

I was told, they will look back to make sure there are no baddies since the BK.  We have had no baddies since the BK, but EX is reporting that we had 2 collections IIB filed  Oct. 17 of 2005 which was 2.5 years after the BK was discharged!

TU & EQ are reporting accurately and they are our better scores, obviously.

I feel if we could get this corrected, our EX scores will be even with our other scores and there won't be anything for the lender to pick at.  Smooth sailing through Fannie Mae underwriting is what we want!!

Are you disputing from the Experian site?  I received the same message, however i was on the Experian site.  It gives the option to further your dispute in writing and creates a form letter for you to send in.

Sunrise, try this. I would also send them a MOV letter demanding to know the exact method used to verify this "so-called" information. EX sucks hard.

Thanks everyone...I may have to break down and call the CA.  I mean, they are supposed to be reporting correctly..even if it is bad. 

Byrdman.....will I have time?  Don't they have 30 days to send me the verification?  Then, after I receive it...I re-dispute it?

MsKmm00.....Yes, I used their website....that is the only online way that I am aware of to dispute w/ them.  I tried to use myfico, but they just send you to EX.  I will have to resort to mailing in the dispute w/ the proof, if I can't get the CA to report correctly.

ilovepizza......It was a medical collection...no lender was involved.

Copy your discharge papers.  Put a large ARROW nect to the accounts thenfax to EX with a written dispute being specific that the only thing you are disputing is the date discharged  Today is the 7th - they will have till March 8th to correct (add a day for each day you delay).
