I disputed an item with Experian through Certified Mail. Recently I got a response by mail from them dated April 10th. In the response it said that the item I disputed was verified and included was a full copy of my credit report. Two days later I get a one page letter from them dated April 8th. In this letter, there are several paragraphs. It explains the dispute process with them and timeframe they have. Then it explains rights with FCRA. Then it says "We are unable to honor your request. If you believe an item is innaccurate, please notify us. Be sure to explain why you believe it is inaccurate, for example 'not mine' 'paid in full' 'never late' etc. ((I disputed as obsolete)).Then it says if you write to us, include a drivers license, state id and copy of utility bill or bank statement. First off I am puzzled as to why I received mail from them first, with one dated april 10th, and the next dated april 8th. And im really confused as to why the y said they couldnt honor my request, yet they did send me verification? weird.
