EX no longer factors AU accounts into FICO. EQ and TU will follow suit in... I think January 2008. So if it was only done for that purpose, you might as well cancel those 4 AUs. She'd probably be best to get on the boards here and see what she can do to bring her scores up without the AUs as she'd be wasting money IMHO to see any score increase on EQ and TU... it'll probably drop back down in under 3 months. However, if you can find a CC that will only pull from a good score she may have, now is might be her opportunity to get her own CC.

Since then, I have added her as an AU to 4 of my credit cards and she has fully paid off one of her closed credit cards, which had a balance of $600. There have been no alerts from TripleAdvantage for any change, and when we log in it still lists the report as of 9/14/07.Is there any process for updating it, or do they just not have any of the updated information? She purchased all three credit scores on myfico yesterday and experian lists all 4 AU accounts and a balance of $0 on her closed CC, so we're wondering if we need to do anything to pull an updated report using TripleAdvantage? On a sidenote, even though I added the 4 AU accounts (all in good standing and a few years old), her EX score on myfico was actually 4 points lower than it lists on TripleAdvantage....I had thought she'd get a big boost, but it wound up going down!
Right and hopefully TU will too if they have not yet. What she will want to do then once they do... within the brief period that her scores will be up... is to try her hardest to find a CC to apply for that 'only' pulls the CBR with her highest score. It varies by state but is not guaranteed. Try this site:

Beforehand she was in the 550 range with no open cards, and I hoped that I could bump her over 600 before they fell off.Right now EQ isn't reporting the AU accounts, so once they report she'll have more options for CC accounts.
