Experian.com vs myfico

I am extremely confused and need help figuring it out. My experian.com says my score is 710 (it says it is fico 8) last update today. Myfico experian says 622 and hasn't updated since 8 May. Is Experian.com using the same scoring model as myfico and if so why are the scores almost 100 points different ? And why isn't it updating on myfico.

Re: Experian.com vs myfico

@Anonymous Welcome to the forum . . . My experience with scoring is that Experian has always matched the potential creditor's score that they pulled. Perhaps one of our forum experts can povide additional information.

@Brian_Earl_Spilner , @AllZero @M_Smart007 Thanks!!!

Starting FICO 8 Score in 06/2019: EQ-625, TU-649, EX-640
Current FICO 8 Score in 06/2021: EQ-796, TU-806, EX-812
Goal FICO 8 Score in 06/2022: EQ-825, TU-850, EX-850

Re: Experian.com vs myfico

Myfico simply pulls the scores from the bureaus at a specific time. If you were to update the myfico scores right now, it would match Experian as long as there have been no scorable changes between the two pull times

Re: Experian.com vs myfico

Does experian not update periodically on myfico as my equifax and transunion do? I understand that the other scores don't change until the refresh each month but my FICO 8's change throughout the month except for the experian. So your saying if I do a new pull my experian on here should match my experian on experian.com?

Re: Experian.com vs myfico

@Anonymous  its been my experience that if both pulls happen at the same time the scores will match. there may be divergent scores when the data sets change and/or age.

It should, unless something scorable has changed between the time of the Experian pull and the myfico pull.

Re: Experian.com vs myfico

I cannot figure out how to upload pictures. Both of them updated today. Scores are different. On MyFico EX 8 is 635. On experian.com it is 704. I app'ed for a card to see what score it showed and it matched myfico. So I will just assume that experian.com is wrong.

@Anonymous I don't believe you can upload images and/or pictures as a "new" member. With the different scores between Experian.com vs myFICO . . . my experience has yielded the creditor's pulled matched my Experian scores. I''m sure @Brian_Earl_Spilner can explain better.

This is definitely not right.

First thing I'd do is to check both reports and see if there are any differences between them. If they are identical, then the score generated should likewise be identical assuming the same model is being used.

If the reports are the same then either the models being used are not the same (FICO8 vs some other score), or there is an error somewhere in the system. experian.com always provides FICO8 standard, so you should check that the 635 score is also FICO8 standard instead of some other score type like auto or bankcard.
