Got this email from experian. They should be offering credit lock for free but this is still better than having to pay 29.99. They usually offer 4.99 for the first month only but this email says 4.99 a month subscription.
Thanks for sharing! I agree, it does look like they are adding a step below Plus and Premium. Can you share what you see when you click the link?
Does that service give you an EX Fico 8 score? I've been using their IdentityWorks Plus for $9.99/mo. with lock/unlock, ID protection, and unlimited EX Fico 8 scores.
When i click the link from the email i received it takes me to the account login page ,so may be this offer is targetted? Here is the link , if you guys want to check it out.

DaveInAZ , here are the screen shots of my membership benefits and monthly charge. And i think its Fico08
I don't think that link will work as it has login in it - xxx.usa.experian.com/login/
And it may be targeted, I don't find it on the Experian.com website, they just offer IdentityWorks Plus for $9.99/mo. which is what I have, or IndentityWorks Premium for $19.99/mo. The Plus plan gives your daily EX Fico 8 score but is a surcharge for 3 bureau Fico scores, the Premium gives you daily EX Fico and quarterly 3 bureau.
For someone without a current EX service that ID Works Core is a good deal for a lock/unlock feature, but yeah, with TU & EQ offering free services with lock EX really should follow suit. But I think I'll also stick with the Plus plan w/daily score updates, for just $5 more per month more I'll just skip one lunch a month.
The link works, thanks, it's not targeted.
Experian IdentityWorks Core for 4.99 a month, no trial
https://usa.experian.com/#/upgrade/?tags=et_eiwl100
But I agree, this really only offers the lock feature (compared to the free CreditWorks Basic plan), while it's free with TU and EQ. (although only free with eq because of their giant f-up)

I tried this link and got an error. Did anyone else sign up for the Experian Lock at $4.99 a month? If so, how so?
CreditCheckTotal gives you daily EX report/FICO 8 score, and monthly 3 bureau reports/FICO 8 scores for $14.95. Their advertised rate is $29.95. But you can call their customer service and get a $14.95 discounted rate for a year. You have to call them once every year when the promotional rate expires. I have been doing it for several years now. It's usually a short no-hassle phone call. You ask them for the discounted rate and thy would put you back on the promotional rate for another year.
